- When you're writing the agenda for a meeting, there are all sorts of things to consider. And here are my top six tips. First, start the agenda and the meeting itself with a statement of the goal or objective of the meeting. What are we trying to achieve? What will success, at the end of the meeting, look like? For example, you might say, "The objective "of this meeting is to come up with as many ideas "as we can to reduce the cost of our product "without reducing the quality," Or, "To find a total of 20% cost reduction "without affecting the quality." Even a regular meeting can have a purpose that feels motivational. For example, "The objective of this meeting "is to look at all of the customer complaints "that we've had this month and find ways "to prevent each one from ever repeating." And this would be written at the top of the agenda, just under the title. Next, you would have a list of topics for discussion, with a time allocated to each. During the meeting, these times may…
