People are often responsible for allowing access to a facility, using human judgment to evaluate visitor requests and grant access to authorized visitors. While many of these procedures can be assisted with technology, there's really no good substitute for human judgment. Having human security guards also helps organizations present a welcoming face to the public while protecting the organization's security.
