Bobbi Brown on second acts
- What kind of advice do you give people who are, you're 61? - [Bobbi] Two. - 62. - I know, I look 61. (laughing) - What kind of advice do you give people who are thinking about a second act and they are maybe they feel like they're at a point in their career where they can't start over or they're not sure how to. Do you have thoughts about that? - There's no such thing as you can't. I mean my father is a children's book author at 84 and he was an attorney until he retired at 70. Things happen. My suggestion is you have to first of all be practical. If you are working because you still need the money, I'm not going to say yeah, quit your job, start all over. You know, you have to think about it. So really just depends on the person, but if you don't try something, you'll never know. And you have to really think about what would be fun and interesting. That's the thing about second acts, you think about okay, how many second acts you think people say they want to be accountants? If you love golf and you're an accountant, maybe you can go work for some cool golf company and work in their finance department. Maybe you just don't want to step foot into and you love museums and you want to start giving tours. Not everyone is an entrepreneur, but really what is our life about besides making money and being successful? And it's easy to say 'cause I've done that already. It's about enjoying and having fun and filling your heart up. Like what makes you happy?
