Optimizing your model for animation
- [Instructor] I've gone ahead and added some sculptural detail to our fish to really make it sing but before I can get to animating and texturing it, I need to prep it for 3D animation. This is a process called optimizing and it takes a little bit of time. In order to begin, we need to go into object mode. So let's go ahead and click this little plus and go into layout. If you already have a layout tab, you can go ahead and click on that or you can even just go from sculpt mode into object mode and it'll work just fine. Personally, I like the layout tab as it organizes everything quite nicely. Next, we need to go ahead and zoom into our little character double click on quad spear and type in fish high res. Now this fish has a lot of sculptural detail. You can click on wire frame and see how many points or vertices are on it. That's a little bit too much for animation and it's not going to look…
