Dynamic painting
- [Instructor] I love how simple it is to use dynamic painting, and yet it is one of the most underused effects inside Blender. In this video, I'm going to show you how we can recreate some surface waves on the top of our little fishbowl, just by using dynamic paint in a circle. Now, unlike say, fluid dynamics, where we have to have an entire domain, with dynamic paint, all we need is a surface. So I'm going to go to add, and I'm going to add a circle. Now, I'm going to zoom into the circle and go into Edit Mode. Under my menu search, I want to type in "grid fill," and just click on that. This circle is now filled with these grid lines, so that I can manipulate each and every one of these faces. See that? All right. Now, you don't have to move the face, I was just doing it for demonstration purposes. Let's go ahead and go back to Object Mode and drag this right about here. Now, we need to scale it up, so let's hit…
