- [Instructor] We're going to take a look at named views in the model tab in AutoCAD in this particular Tips and Tricks video. For that purpose, we have a drawing for you to use. It's called 329 Navigation dash Named Views dot dwg. You can see the name of it there at the top of the screen. Download it accordingly and open it up in the model tab as you can see on the screen at the moment. Now like I said, we're going to be taking a look at named views and how they work in the model tab in 2D drawings in AutoCAD. Now we've got a simple office plan and what I've done is I've highlighted each of the spaces that we're going to use to create a named view. So if I hover over these poly lines here can you see we've got a space there? And these poly lines on the named views layer are what we're going to utilize as a guide for our named views.
