- [Instructor] We're starting another AutoCAD tip and trick now and we're going to take a look at tool palettes. Now we've got a drawing for you to use with this particular AutoCAD tip and trick. It's called 276 Tool Palettes Simple Office.dwg. Don't confuse it with other DWG files that have the words tool palettes and simple office in them. You need the 276 DWG file. So when you download from the library, open it up, you can see it's a simple office layout, as you can see. Now what we're going to do, we're going to create a tool palette from the blocks in this drawing, but we're going to create a separate tool palette and a separate blocks library drawing. Now the reason for that is is tool palettes go to the drawing where you put the blocks from the drawing into the palette. I'll explain that in a bit more detail in a moment.
