261 Annotation: Working with the DIMENSION tool in AutoCAD

- [Instructor] Once again, we're looking at another Tip and Trick for AutoCAD. We've got a new drawing for you. It's called 261 ANNOTATION DIMENSION tool.DWG. We're going to look at Annotation in AutoCAD in this particular Tip and Trick, specifically the dimension tool, the Dimension command. Now you might think there's lots of different dimension commands in AutoCAD. Yes, there is, but there's one command, one specific command and it's just called Dimension and it's all encompassing. What it does is it allows you just to hover over an object in your AutoCAD drawing, and it will automatically pick a dimension type for you. So in this particular drawing, we've got a triangle, a rectangle, a circle, and a hexagon, and I've put them on different layers for you. Also you'll notice there is a Dimensions layer as well. So if you go to the Annotate tab on the ribbon and jump in here, you can set Dimensions as your layer override…
