As I record this course, I'm currently 21 years old and I was in high school not too long ago. I was not the most exceptional high school student, and I haven't been the most exceptional college student. I currently attend a low-ranked university and decided to major in what is currently one of the most competitive majors for jobs and internships. During my first internship hunt, I was the definition of a below-average non-target candidate for software engineering. I wasn't a brilliant technical interviewer and I didn't have a massive portfolio of projects. Yet three and a half years later, I've done not one, not two, but six internships with a Fortune 100 media and entertainment company. I worked at three different startups and two-tier one venture capital funds, all while being a full time student.
