Track a c-matte to fill holes
- Completing what had looked like a pretty challenging key is now just a simple matter of a little bit of clean up. Now you've heard me say over and over again that keying is just about edges and our edges are really done and what's left are some gaps in the foreground. If the edges of this handheld device were problematic we could track in a mask, we could rotoscope, even that wouldn't be too difficult. But this is going to be even simpler because that's not the issue at all. So I'm going to duplicate the arm pass, move it down. And rename it "screen". And you can see actually that the hole is already filled the only problem I have with that is that it's affecting the edges so rather than let them build up that way I'm going to solo this layer create a rectangular mask just around the area that I'm concerned with. And in fact, I don't need that other mask. So just get rid of that one. I'll set a key frame here. And let's go back to where this first appears. It's probably easier if I…
