Managing edges and spill: Introduction
- Probably the biggest misperception about color keying, which is to say green screen or blue screen keying, is that it should be effortless. The computer should just be able to do it, you click a few buttons and it's done. The reality is that color spill and edge detail can really make it a much more challenging process. In this section, we'll focus on automation. And specifically on the tools provided right in Adobe After Effects that automate the process of refining your edges and getting rid of color spill. I always recommend trying the procedural approach first before you move onto the slightly more labor intensive methods I'll describe in the next section.
