Advanced keying and Primatte: Introduction

- Having had a thorough look at Keylight, in this section I'm going to introduce a third party keying tool that is an alternative to Keylight, and that's "Primatte" which is distributed by our friends from Red Giant Software as an After Effects plug-in. Now, Primatte uses a very different model for keying than Keylight, and so I'm going to give you some of the basics about that and show you how to quickly get started with Primatte to help you evaluate whether it's a good addition for your studio. There's one third-party tool that we're going to use in this course, and that's Primatte Keyer, from Red Giant Software. Now if you don't own Primatte, you can download the trial version and use if for the purposes of the course, and if you like it, you can invest in it, either as a stand-alone tool or as part of the "Keying Suite".
