- [Instructor] For the most part, adding Google Analytics events to your site requires some development work. Here, I'm in the Google Analytics developer documentation for events, and you'll see that it does require modifying the tags and adjusting when things are sent to Google. In this case, you have to configure an event command, which sends an action and a category, and also if you'd like a label and a value. Now, this can be done programmatically a number of ways and I'm not going to get into specifically how to do this. This documentation is available and you can likely work with a developer if you're not one yourself to sort this out. Now, some eCommerce platforms automatically include the ability to track events and it can be configured automatically from within those, as well as certain WordPress plugins that can deliver this feature to your website.
