- Earlier in the course, I shared five personas with you. One of them was Sean. He's 31 years old, does all his shopping online, and has low vision. He uses a magnifier at 400%, so that he can see things on the screen. That means that he'll only be able to see a small portion of the screen at once. Most people with low vision will start at the top left of a page; call that their home base, and they orient themselves. Then they'll move through the rest of the content of the page. Let's simulate that. We're going to use something that I call the straw test. I remember hearing from several people with low vision that their particular vision makes it like they're looking through a straw all the time. So, I started using that analogy to help designers find opportunities for making their designs work better for people with low vision.
