- [Instructor] One of the biggest changes and updates to Ableton Live 11 is the addition of takes and track comping. Let's take a close look at those features and how they're integrated with loop recording. I've got exercise five from chapter six open. I'll start by mentioning that takes and track comping can only be done in arrangement view, they can't be done in session view. But you can copy and paste clips from session view into arrangement view, put them on alternate take lanes, and then comp them into a final finished performance, then take that piece and put it back in session view. Another thing that you should know is I'm going to be demoing this with audio, but you can use alternate takes and track comping with MIDI clips as well as audio clips.
