- [Instructor] In addition to click and pencil midi entry, there's one other way to enter midi in non-real time. And if you're not a great keyboard player, you might find this useful. So let's take a look at step time entry. So I've got a default setup, and again, I've got my browser open to impulse and I've got a preset already selected here. So you can click select anything here that you've got available and let's drag and drop that on the first midi track to load it. So now that we've got this loaded, we're going to need an empty clip to add notes into. So again, let's click, select one of the empty clips slots on this first track and let's right click and choose insert empty midi clip from the contextual menu. All right, now that we've got this, let's go ahead and let's add some notes. So the first thing I'm going to want to do is set the point where I want to add the notes.
