- [Instructor] Send and return tracks can be a bit confusing to use if you're not familiar with them, but they're extremely useful in how they allow us to route and process audio. So let's take a look at how they work and how we can best use them. I've got exercise two from chapter 10 open, and I'll start with just a little bit of background, and that is as we have all these different kinds of plugins now, EQs compressors, saturates, reverbs, and delay. And some of these types of plugins are relatively easy on the CPU while others are relatively intense. And so that almost divides as the way we route them and use them. For example, we'll typically use EQs and compressors across many if not most of the tracks project, and we can do that because they're easy on the CPU.
