- [Instructor] At some point, we all record clips that contain mistakes, but are worth saving. One way of correcting those mistakes is to use punch record. Let's take a look at how you can use punch in and out points to rerecord just the parts that need fixing. So I've got exercise seven from chapter three open, and I've got just a drum track and a bass track here, and the bass track needs a little bit of fixing, so let's check it out. (electronic music) Okay, so you can hear that when we get over to bar three, we've got a couple of notes that are early and are not quite long enough. So let's fix this using punch record. So the first thing I need to do as I need to use the loop brace to define the area where I want to punch. So I'm going to drag this over so that the start aligns with measure three, and then I'm going to click and drag on the edge of that and drag that out so it goes over to measure four.
