- [Illustrator] Quantizing rhythmic errors can result in music that feels mechanical or sterile. And if that happens to you, Groove Quantization is an option that you can use to both correct rhythmic problems, and create musical performances. So, I've got Exercise Four from Chapter Five open, and I have just a couple of clips here. And I'm going to play them for you to start, so you can kind of hear how rhythmically, out of whack they are, how much help they need. So, I've got the metronome enabled so that you can have a timing reference to judge this by. (upbeat music) All right. That's already apparent that this needs work. So, I mentioned Groove Quantization, and I'll tell you that Groove Quantization is based upon something called groove files.
