Drum rack sends and returns
- [Instructor] In the last video, we discussed how to use sends and returns. This technique gets a bit more complicated with drum racks, so let's take a closer look. Now I've got exercise three from chapter 10 open, and our first track here, the drums track, has a drum rack on it. So we have individual elements loaded on these different pads. And so it's not really one instrument. It's really seven or eight here. And the reason I mentioned that is because if I want to add reverb to this drum track and I increase the send amount here, on send day to send over to this first return track, I'm not only going to get reverb on the snare where I want it and the high hat where I want it, but I'm also going to get it on the kick drum, where I don't want it.
