Computer keyboard as a MIDI controller
- [Tutor] Sometimes there isn't a midi keyboard available when you need one. So let's take a look at how you can use your computer keyboard instead. I've got exercise eight from chapter three open if you want to follow along. And I've already got a drum clip here on the drums track, and I want to record a simple little bass part here on the buzz bass track. Now, if you don't have a midi keyboard, we can just use our computer keyboard, and we can activate that by clicking the piano button up here in the control bar on the upper right-hand corner, or you can activate that using your M key. And you can see here, I'm pushing that in is and it's toggling that on or off. Now, just note, that there are certain commands mapped onto your computer keyboard, and when you activate the computer midi keyboard key, that will override some of those mappings and some things may not work.
