The position of Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and delegating all aspects of warehouse functions. This includes receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparation of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. 8am-4:30 pm M-F. $28.00-$32.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels for shipping, receiving, delivery, and administration positions.
  • Oversee facility, equipment, fleet upkeep and maintenance.
  • Ability to navigate and problem solve issues within the WMS and host order system.
  • Coach and train employees on common problems associated with warehouse equipment, SOP, all company policies.
  • Oversees proper care of the Loading Equipment (Forklifts, Wave-pickers, Pallet-jacks, etc.).
  • Recruits, hires, coaches and develops employees as well as ensures that personnel are delegated adequate authority to carry out their responsibilities and objectives, but that limitations of their authority are defined and clearly communicated.
  • Creates and maintains a safe work environment. The branch facility must be kept in a clean and organized manner so as to reduce or eliminate obstacles and thereby creating a safe and accident-free environment. The Manager must be aware of and fully understand all safety rules and procedures as directed by the company. The Manager ensures that all branch employees follow all safety rules and procedures and are properly trained to conduct their job in the safest manner possible. The Branch Manager will answer to the safety director regarding all aspects of the company safety program.
  • Ensures communication of and compliance with all company human resource policies and procedures.
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to transport, gather, distribute and stock material in a safe, efficient, manner.
  • Support and coordinate delivery activities.
  • Inspecting merchandise prior to loading and delivery.
  • Troubleshooting issues and following up with customers to ensure the correct merchandise is delivered on-time and to the correct location.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Warehouse Inventory Management Software; Harris Data 5.0 and Latitude WMS knowledge desired.
  • Experience using a RF Terminal in a warehouse environment required.
  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Keen attention to detail is required and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • A thorough knowledge of warehousing principles, practices and procedures is required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write and read routine reports or job orders. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees within the organization. Ability to speak, read and hear English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.

ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: Attendance is required Monday through Friday within normal business hours as established by the Branch Manager/Warehouse Manager. Employee may be required to work overtime.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grasp and lift and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
