Our client is looking for a Senior VFX Artist, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Senior VFX Artist, you must be able to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with at least 4 hours per weekday available to work with teams on the US/CAN West Coast (Pacific Time zone).
To give you an idea of how this Senior VFX Artist role will look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do:
Support artists and engineers in the use of the 3D art pipeline and user-facing engine tools
Provide hands-on support regarding asset performance and validation
Review the creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvements
Solve challenging technical issues
Collaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems
To apply for this Real-time VFX role, you will need to have shipped 1+ AA/AAA games on Console or PC in the last 3 years. You will also require the following:
Portfolio link (mandatory)
Understanding of in-game VFX performance, tuning and memory budgets
Understanding FX workflows and tools with the ability to modify and improve them
Ability to create original texture sprites and sprite sheets to create particle effects
Knowledge of standard VFX software – Houdini, 3ds Max, Maya, etc
