Erica Roudebush never pictured herself in sales or the textile industry, but the senior sales consultant is excelling at both while celebrating her 20th anniversary at TVF. She joined TVF in 2004 after studying English at Indiana University and getting her feet wet as a bartender and working in retail. Erica is a member of TVF’s Ownership & Engagement Board (which promotes employee-ownership culture) and has championed employee-ownership since TVF became an ESOP in 2010. Over two decades, Erica has become skilled and knowledgeable in sales and an influential voice inside the friendly confines of the TVF Carmel, Indiana Headquarters. “Everything is bigger, better, faster” since Erica started here, she says, referring to the many technological, operational, and physical footprint differences (in addition to our HQ, we have our Lebanon, Indiana warehousing operation and our California office and warehousing operation in Carson) since 2004. She credits the foresight of executives and leaders throughout the years with setting a successful vision and striving for excellence, as well as TVF’s propensity to venture into the “good kind of risk” as we’ve evolved and grown. “With sales and customer relationships, I've learned that you get out of it what you put into it, which I think is a pretty good life lesson,” Erica says about lessons she’s learned along the way. “What's that saying? The harder you work, the luckier you become. Because sometimes success is dumb luck, but then you look back and look at all the hard work I put in before that.” Erica’s outgoing nature and propensity to speak up have also grown in her time here. “I know I'm super opinionated, but I also like that TVF has been a place that's allowed me to be like that,” she says. For three consecutive years, her peers have named her a TVF Core Value Champion for embodying the company’s “Put Relationships First” value. She adds that “Help People Succeed” is a complimentary Core Value that she also appreciates. “I do feel like I am or have been a sounding board for people in the company. I like people come to me and ask advice and that's another thing being here 20 years, it's like you have seen the historical evolution of the company or how things have worked in the past… people come to me about, you know, career advice or things like that, so that makes me feel really good, too.” Erica credits much of her success to the mentorship of long-time TVF leaders, including Suzanne Freeman (who retired in 2023 after 38 years), Senior Sales Consultant Jim Prestipino (celebrating 20 years in 2022), Classic & Vinyl Director Bob Burns (with TVF since 1986), Vice President of Sales Jeff Nonte (who joined in 2003), and Senior Sales Consultant Shelly Hirschinger (who came on board in 2006), among many others. Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her family and supporting the many artistic and athletic endeavors of her children. #TVFCommunity 🧡
