This month, TOTE was honored to support the annual Coast Guard Foundation dinner in Anchorage, Alaska. #TMAK Vice President and Alaska General Manager, Art Dahlin, attended the event with guests including Senator Lisa Murkowski, Senator Dan Sullivan, Congresswoman Mary Peltola, and Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Linda Fagan. Eduardo Pagán, VP & GM of TOTE Maritime Agency Puerto Rico, hosted the Thrive With Enactus business breakfast, connecting executive leaders and entrepreneurs from #PuertoRico to Enactus student leaders. #TOTE was recognized for its commitment to youth development, supporting education and entrepreneurship, and reducing environmental impact at the event. As Puerto Rico marks the 20th anniversary of Enactus Puerto Rico, TOTE was pleased to present the BLUE ECONOMY TOTE Award to "Manaties a la Vista" from InterAmerican University, Ponce, for their project and its contribution to the blue economy. For the past seven years, TOTE has served on the Enactus Board of Directors, hiring program graduates and collaborating on projects aligned with the United Nations' sustainability goals. Last week, TOTE celebrated our "49 in the 49th" in Anchorage, Alaska! In true Alaskan style, a little rain didn't dampen the spirits at the Customer Golf Classic or the rooftop celebration at 49th State Brewing. Yesterday, The Eyes of Freedom: The Lima Company Memorial left after its week-long tour in Anchorage. TOTE was honored to support Odyssey Logistics and Carlile Transportation in delivering the EOF traveling museum for its first visit to the Last Frontier. In the Spring of 2005, “L”-Co. or Lima Company was deployed to Iraq. Twenty-two Marines and one Navy Corpsman were killed in action between May and August of that year. Eyes of Freedom was founded to memorialize those fallen soldiers and has visited the hometown of each servicemember lost, which now includes Marine LCpl Grant Fraser who graduated from Service High School in Anchorage, AK. Family, friends, and community members were able to see the exhibits free of charge during their run at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson JBER (official), Service High School, and University of Alaska Anchorage. #NeverForget #LogisticsforGood
