OKR metrics, or Objectives and Key Results, are crucial for maintaining organizational focus and alignment. OKRs provide a structured yet flexible approach to goal-setting, helping organizations measure progress effectively. Objectives are your big, inspiring goals, while key results are specific, measurable outcomes that indicate progress toward these goals. Metrics are at the heart of OKRs, ensuring you're on track to achieve your objectives. Leadership should set company-level OKRs each quarter and hold everyone accountable, including themselves. Transparency and continuous tracking with OKR software are essential, with regular check-ins and meetings to review and adjust OKRs as needed. Effective OKR metrics should be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Use quantifiable data for clarity and pair quantitative metrics with qualitative ones for quality control. Regular reviews and adjustments ensure that objectives remain relevant and achievable. In summary, OKR metrics provide the tools to measure progress, ensure alignment, foster performance measurement, and drive continuous improvement. By leveraging OKR metrics effectively, organizations can set ambitious goals and achieve them with confidence and clarity. #OKR #Agile

How exactly does a marketing team divide a campaign into releasable increments? What happens if, mid-sprint, you have to switch to focus on a Meta campaign instead of the Google campaign that was part of the sprint goal? As a scrum master lead with years of experience in marketing, Ricardo is the person to turn to for coaching and support in such a scenario. Regarding marketing teams using scrum, Ricardo says: "When you compare it to agile practices in software development, for example, you might see it as you're doing agile a different way." For example: "As a software development team, you have a sprint, which usually has a fixed objective. We also have objectives for our sprint or sprint goals, but those principal sprint goals can be adapted throughout the sprint." You may need to change the sprint goal mid-sprint, Ricardo says. "That's something that many times has shocked some of my peers in software development or product development." But through inspection and adaptation, Ricardo has found that the scrum framework can be pivotal in helping marketing teams succeed while reducing time to market. Ricardo's real-world tale of scrum in action on non-technical teams shows us that you can do great things with scrum on any team, even if it doesn't always look exactly how it did in a certification class or textbook. With the core elements of the framework in place, Ricardo coaches teams to deliver value and solve complex problems in a way that works for them. "Regional Scrum Gathering™ Singapore 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary! With over 160 attendees, a quarter of which were international participants, this year’s event truly embodied the spirit of global collaboration and knowledge sharing. We kicked off with diverse sessions ranging from deep dives into agile to leadership and social technology workshops, offering something valuable for everyone. The three keynote speeches set the tone for the gathering, offering visionary insights that sparked thoughtful discussions throughout the two days. One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s gathering was the cultural immersion. Attendees had the chance to experience Singapore’s attractions with a visit to Gardens by the Bay, adding a unique local flavor to the event. Networking was another highlight, with plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals from across the globe. We forged new relationships, rekindled old ones, and discussed collaborations that could shape the future of agile. We also want to thank our incredible speakers who brought their expertise and passion to the stage. Their sessions were among the most attended and talked about, offering fresh perspectives and practical insights that participants could take back to their organizations." - Victor Loke, RSG Singapore organizer
