Via was honored to have Meaghan Scanlon MP join us to announce the recent extension to the Translink On Demand Service on Australia's Gold Coast alongside Via's Australia Partnerships Manager Timothy Harding. Minister Scanlon has been a champion of this service for its ability to bring efficient, equitable and cost effective access to transport services to members of the community on the Gold Coast. The program's new intermodal features are seamlessly connecting passengers to public transport options beyond just the Gold Coast area. Gold Coasters love it, with almost 200,000 rides taken so far. Riding public transit should be easy. But for too many riders, it’s anything but. And that’s where Citymapper’s MaaS+ solution comes in. 📱🚌 In addition to planning seamless multimodal journeys, riders can now book microtransit rides, purchase bus and train tickets, and get accurate, timely disruption alerts, right in the Citymapper app. They'll travel with confidence every time, on every mode. These updates benefit agency leaders too: we’ve introduced easy-to-use ridership modeling and disruption management tools, both integrated into the Remix suite that hundreds of agencies already rely on.
Partnerships Principal at Via | On demand mobility and autonomous driving expert | Innovative and sustainable transport advocate
