🛫 Heading through the airport earlier this week it was incredible to see how the global IT outage was still impacting different aspects of our society. The recent CrowdStrike outage seems to have impacted nearly everyone at some level. While for some it was a seamless event, for others… it was days of the blue screen of death. 📺 🟦 As someone who builds products for a living this hits close to home. It’s a stark reminder to prioritize quality over speed and continuously strive to improve. Having the right checks and balances in place for software releases can go a long way. Companies that leverage cloud native technology have some advantages, but beyond the technology, it's important to promote a culture of quality that ensures teams maintain high standards and deliver reliable products, even during challenging times. A strong culture fosters resilience, innovation, and continuous improvement, helping teams navigate complexities, inherit to building enterprise products, effectively. Many leaders are taking this moment to step back and revisit existing beliefs, processes, and past architecture decisions.
