Congratulations to Igor Amburg on his promotion to Store Director at one of our Chicago locations! 🎉 Igor began his food retail career as a Meat Wrapper, followed by Meat Cutter and then a promotion to Meat Manager in 2012. Two years later he joined the Jewel-Osco Meat Market Manager team and years later was promoted again to Meat Operations Specialist for District 3, his most recent assignment. Jewel-Osco is pleased to announce that Scott Antor has been promoted to District Manager for District 5! 🎉 Scott began his career with the company while attending college and after graduation from Northern Illinois University in 2001 he joined the Store Manager Training Program. After progressing through the various department roles Scott was named Assistant Grocery Manager followed by Assistant Store Director. Years later Scott moved to the corporate office as an Assistant Sales Manager with the Merchandising Team and from there worked within the Center Store, followed by his role as the Business Transformation Coordinator. In 2013 Scott was named a Store Director and thereafter promoted to Center Store Operations Specialist for District 7 followed by the role of Division Shrink Manager, his most current position. We are pleased to announce that Jay Hildebrand has been promoted to VP and General Manager for the Jewel-Osco Melrose Park Distribution Center. Jay began his career with Albertsons, the parent company of Jewel-Osco, in 2015 at the Kent Liquor Warehouse in Seattle, WA and while there held a variety of leadership positions including Transportation Manager and Director of Operations. Last year he joined the Tracy, CA Distribution Center as Sr. Director of Operations. #grocery #promotion #distributioncenter

  Congratulations to Megan Kelly on her promotion to Store Director at the 122 N. Vail Street store in Arlington Heights, IL. Megan started her food retail career in 2000 working as a Produce Manager before joining Jewel-Osco in 2006 as a Store Manager Trainee. After working as a manager in several departments Megan was promoted to Assistant Store Director and has worked in that same role at several Jewel-Osco stores, most recently at 4222 Elm Street, McHenry IL.  #Groceryretail #Promotion #Management

That’s a wrap! As this internships comes to a close, I reflect on the incredible experience I had interning for Jewel-Osco. Ten weeks ago, Sarah and I were tasked with creating a sustainable solution in order to increase plastic pallet retention in the distribution center. We worked closely along with our talented coworkers and were able to create a sustainable process that will help with the issue of plastic pallets. Last week, I traveled to Boise, Idaho to share my findings with fellow interns and staff at the Albertsons headquarters. It was neat being able to see what the other interns came up with as well. Later in the week, I headed to Jewel Osco headquarters to share our presentation with the other interns and leadership team. It was a rewarding finale to an unforgettable internship, leaving me with valuable skills, lasting friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the complexities of supply chain management. I want to thank everyone who guided me throughout this journey I couldn’t have done it without your support!
