#CaseStudy: The LRZ has successfully connected a quantum computer with a high-performance computer, creating a functional hybrid system called Q-Exa, as part of the BMBF-funded project of the same name. The collaboration between these two superlative computers holds great promise, with expectations of accelerated computing power and practical utilization of quantum computing. 💡 As the project enters its final phase, fine-tuning and adjustments are being made. HQS is actively involved in implementing promising use cases within the project. A key component in this endeavor is the HQS Noise App, a software module that allows for the inclusion of errors from quantum hardware in calculations, facilitating simulations of open quantum systems on even error-prone quantum hardware. (More information about the HQS Noise App: https://lnkd.in/dW-6A2jG) 🙂 We are eagerly looking forward to further collaboration and are confident that Q-Exa will provide us with valuable insights for the future. 👉 Read the full use case story to learn more about HQS's involvement in the project 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eyeDQQzB #innovation #HPC #QuantumComputing #HybridSystem #QExa #QuantumSoftware #QuantumApplication Leibniz Supercomputing Centre | IQM Quantum Computers | Eviden

We are excited to share an intriguing example of our HQS Quantum Libraries in action! 🎉 Inspired by the paper “Local Minima in Quantum Systems” (https://lnkd.in/e-vmE5u9), we have implemented a thermal gradient descent algorithm, and applied it to the Ising model to show the energy evolution in a quantum system. 📈 The screenshot gives a sneak peek of what our software can provide, displaying the plot of the energy relaxation, and code snippets used for these calculations. A special highlight is our ability to handle non-unitary operations and noise mapping! 🌟Dive deeper and discover how our software helps you solve complex quantum problems. Join our live demo and detailed explanation of this example in our upcoming webinar: 📅 October 8, 2024 | 15:30 🕒 Topic: Non-unitary Gates in Quantum Algorithms: Overcoming the Barren Plateau Problem 🖱️ 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘄: https://lnkd.in/ekT3Uwbm Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the innovative capabilities of our HQStage Modules like the HQS Quantum Libraries! 🧪✨ #QuantumComputing #QuantumSimulation #Software #QuantumAlgorithms #QuantumApplication #research #innovation #webinar | John Preskill
