🚨 Summer is peak season for safety enforcement events and roadside inspections. As we enjoy vacations and warmer weather, let's remember that safety and DOT compliance are ongoing. Key reminders: -2nd Quarter IFTA Filings: Due July 31, 2024. The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) simplifies fuel tax payments across the US and Canada. Next deadline: October 31, 2024. ⛽ -Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over: August 16 – September 2, 2024. This annual event aims to prevent impaired driving. Increased law enforcement during this period targets drunk drivers. According to NHTSA, drunk-driving crashes claim over 13,000 lives annually. Stay updated with DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations. Foley has a comprehensive guide. 🚔 Brake Safety Week: August 25 – 31, 2024.
