Define, and align organisation KPI to employees individual and department KPI. Establish a clear picture of current performance level before training. Establish employees existing knowledge and skills relevant to the plan operation. Identify specific key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, downtime reduction, defect rates, and employee productivity.

Going to need to make use of or establish the KPIs, such as production rate, energy consumption, downtime reduction as well as quality matrix. Do pre training assessments and post training assessments measure knowledge retention and skills improvement. Motivate and encourage “KAIZEN”, continuous improvement.

In my opinion, one of the best way of measuring plant operation efficiency is by measuring Overall equipment efficiency matrix of the plant ( OEE) . Fot measuring OEE of each equipment , we have to measure Rate of availability of the equipment for Production work, Rate of performance , and Rate of quality. While measuring these three parameters, we will be measuring and improving all Sub parameters which will be contributing to achieve Good ROA,ROP, and ROQ( like maintenance factors , Process performances , Process capability factors and Quality factors ).And Overal Plant efficiency and effectiveness

Analyze performance data before and after training to assess improvements in productivity, quality, and efficiency. Data collection is key to it being representative prior to data performance analysis.

Data collection and analysis in right manner is very important to measure performance of training effectiveness in the system. Use software or spreadsheets to collect and organize performance data. Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for the training program. Look for patterns in the data to identify areas of success and areas for improvement. Analyze data to determine which training modules had the greatest impact on specific performance metrics. Feedback in survey format is useless. Try truly listening to them and try not to automatically assume they don't know what they are talking about. I know it is not easy but you could find some valuable insights.

A system basically consists of a PROCESS which requires OPERATION to give/yield RESULTS. The operations, therefore, need to be carried out effectively/efficiently to ensure that the process parameters are utilised efficiently for production maximisation. The efficiency of operation can be judged by: - setting the process parameters to the optimum levels of production by servicing, repair or resetting. This will provide a level playing ground for the operation process. - the aforesaid factor will clearly bring out any fluctuations in the final production data resulting from the operation practices. If the operation practices are more or less in UNISON, the fluctuations in production data within the set process parameters will be least.

Identify critical processes-Process mapping and prioritization of critical processes are important. 2.Data collection and analysis. Process performances data collection and its analysis, and comparing it industry standard benchmarking is crucial for identifying the gaps in the training program. 3. Process flow analysis-VSM, Bottleneck identification and cycle time analysis is critical for effectiveness. 4. Root case analysis- Identification of GAP and its analysis is vital for effective training.

Measuring the financial impact of a training program is crucial to justifying its investment and demonstrating its value to the organization. There are some tangible and intangible impact of training to employee and organization as well. Reduced cost is due to waste reduction, lower defects, equipment downtime reduction and reduced overtime. Revenue is increased due to increased productivity, improved quality and new product/service development. Intangibles impacts are customer satisfaction, reduced employee turnover, safety improvement. To assess financial impacts of training program, ROI, cost benefit analysis, training payback period, resource utilization are critical KPI to be monitored effectively and efficiently.

At the end of the day, all financial investment get justified once the numbers start adding up at the top line. It also helps to innovate new ways of generating business and thinking 🤔 out of the 📦.

Training is more than an objective. There’s multiple ways to engage someone that’s willing to be taught to improve production/ productivity. Just because one place metrics in place to analyze and track one’s performance doesn’t mean that the performers that’s producing less production don’t get what’s being taught … it could be the style in which you’re training that they don’t get … and that could be the reason why the plant isn’t successful within a particular objective.
