Also, I'll make sure to track the key metrics. And after that, seeking the feedback would be my next go-to move! Like, I may ask the team for honest feedback on team dynamics, communication, workload and priorities. Make improvements based on their input. So, overall, by focusing on my given key areas, I can gain a true understanding of how my AI team is performing and take appropriate actions to recognize and drive their success. 😄

I think before learning the basics you need to understand your audience and your desire role. AI topics can vary in complexity from business to highly technical topics. Once you know the level you want to achieve start gathering information about the available courses or platforms where you can learn about this. Be passionate about what you want to learn and this will make this experience better!

I would reiterate that you take the microlearning route, as the pace of change is incredibly fast, and longer courses start becoming obsolete as soon as you finish them. For basics, LinkedIn Learning and Google have some good short courses to get started.

Before building a portfolio focus in the pain points of the areas you have worked on. Try to see what things can be improved with the help of AI. Although working in something that excites you sounds amazing you need to solve a need so this way you have better opportunities in your career and maybe even create your own app!

You can also participate in kaggle competitions and other international competitions and hackathons. You can also write blog and articles on medium and can explain the topics related to AI in simple way. Add things whatever you do to your resume and make it updated.

In my experience, an expert in the HR field is highly qualified to use and implemented the current AI tools. I would try the tools for various tasks as writing job descriptions and let them improve and review by AI. What you should be very careful - uploading documents with personal information to the typical AI tools. I would talk on my experience here on LinkedIn and connect to mind-liked people. Often, the vendors of AI tools are eager on feedback and might publish or post it online. This helps to build a reputation and portfolio for a well-positioned HR expert with great AI skills!

Learn what tools your team or organization are currently using and from there decide where AI can improve the overall needs of the day-to-day and big picture by diving in and taking training on these software/tools.

You can follow and make connections with the people that are interested in AI also can follow top talented people in field of AI. You can also join groups that post about the AI and ML. In this way you will get more knowledge and will be familiar with the latest trends in AI. Also in case of any query you can contact with the people on linkedin and twitter. I seen in most of cases people help.

Expanding your AI network is crucial. Platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter, or groups on Meetup, offer gateways to connect with AI experts and enthusiasts. Joining forums or attending AI-focused events can deepen your understanding and open new opportunities.
