In my experience, getting a mentor changed everything for me. In life you either learn from mistakes or mentors. The latter is less painful. Sitting down with someone who has done well in motivational speaking/public speaking is key. They’ll help you understanding pricing, marketing, structuring and networking. Sometimes the greatest thing you can be as a speaker is to actually be a student. It’s okay not to know it all, it’s okay to ask questions, it’s okay to get feedback on your keynotes and feedback on your business structure.
