Networking is key to being successful as a global Talent Acquisition Specialist. When I firs started my career my entire network was based in the UK, my LinkedIn connections alone were only in my local market. Needless to say when I started to work on global projects and move to Global TA, I needed to ensure that my content was getting to the eyes of relevant candidates. I took time to build my network both via LinkedIn and in person attending events, etc. Since then my LinkedIn connections are now with people from across the globe, and I have go to people I can reach out to for recommendations, or with questions about new terettories.

One of the challenges in Global Talent Acquisition as an intern is to be Resilient, and able to respond to pressure, change and hardship while remaining optimistic and persistent, even under difficult times. Able to recover from setbacks quickly and does not give up easily when faced with new changes, workload increases, external forces and priority shifts.
