If you are not failing, then you are not attempting anything significant. The key is to be intentional about reflecting over failure/s so the same failures are not occurring and each unique failure is turned into a developmental opportunity. Some reflective questions I use around this are: 1. What worked? 2. What didn't work? 3. What did you learn? 4. What needs to change? Innovation is distinct from creativity in that creativity is a subset competency of innovation. Innovation occurs through the balance of both experimenting (involves creativity) and persistence. Many experiment, chasing shiny objects, and see little progress. Others are tenacious but lack creativity to try different approaches, also resulting in low inventiveness.
