As a leader, I am committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. I lead by example, ensuring that there is zero tolerance for discrimination, bias, or harassment of any kind. I ensure that all benefits and policies are equally accessible to all employees. I encourage open communication, celebrate diverse backgrounds and identities, and hold everyone accountable for promoting diversity and inclusion. I recognize that fostering diversity is an ongoing process and continuously assess and improve our initiatives to create a workplace where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Esto claramente implica sostener el respeto por lo diferente y validar al otro como un auténtico otro. La censura, que iría en contra de lo que estoy mencionando aumenta la brecha, la incomodidad y el malestar. Hoy mas que nunca, considero imperioso, potenciar la libertad de expresión , cada vez que aporte y que sea con ánimos de construcción y colaboración.

Strong leaders encourages subordinates/ team mates express their opinions. This allows all team members be and feel heard out and respect all opinions and perspectives. Strongly agree especially with the second part. Unfortunately, I’ve experienced myself when writings are not followed by actions. I’ve once faced situation when IR manager aggressively abused his whole team; he got reported to HR and HR manager didn’t do anything to prevent such behaviours in future. So, writing down is not enough if promoting and exercising company values are not being demanded at all levels

Building an inclusive culture demands a holistic approach. You will need feedback, ambassadors, programs, sessions, buy-in from leaders and a balance between consistent messaging and employee generated content. Inclusion isn’t a one and done exercise and you need to set out a strategy to deploy that has tactical plans for early adopters, leaders, the general population and those who will either stubbornly hold out or undermine your efforts. Build a strong team and ideate your tactics with those closest to each group.
