Everything you talk about to get things done is a negotiation. So all those conversations you have EVERY day can benefit from this change. It probably is the best investment you'll ever do.

A strong network is a good idea. But be aware this is also your competition. I like the blue ocean strategy. Take an idea and frame it differently from everybody else. Now instead of swimming with the hungry sharks in the red ocean, you'll be in a quiet bountiful blue ocean. You can work with the network to work out the framing in the market. But then shhhhh...do...and surprise. This is not about being highly aggressive in competition, it is about smart framing and staying friends with your network. But the key is. Be wise in what you share.

Develop a unique strategy. Incorporate all the boxes that must be ticked, but then offer something others don't offer. If you follow your passion you will find this idea. If you do a lot of cross culture study and allow your fantasy to work you will come across unique concepts. Developing originality is also learning. But it saves you time of following the flock. The flock has a bad market position. It is too competitive, it limits growth. Improve your dynamics, sail from the red ocean to the blue ocean.
