I’ve learned that closing the loop by identifying which tasks are completed works wonders. Properly using visual aids such as Kanban boards are a great way to show progress. Of course, don’t use visual aids for the sake of using them. They must be complementary to the process. Stand up meetings are called that for a reason. Since no one is sitting, few can use their laptops. They are also short in nature. Ensure everyone provides an update. Adjust the frequency if required. Keeping the momentum going might be difficult at times especially around holidays, vacation time. If the team is spread physically using video can ensure people are standing. Get them to use the app on their smartphone.
