Make sure your onboarding process is well defined and went smooth. Keep it engaging by having a polite and engaging conversation with the new joiner. Introduce him/her to the employees on floor, shoot a welcome email, offer him with good Joining kit and make him feel welcomed Conduct a meeting of him with his fellow team members and Team Lead he will be working moving ahead. Keep a regular followup with him for initial days address his quiries if he has any, welcome suggestions with open arms positively. Introduce "BUDDY" for him to help and guide him in initial days for settlement In longer run offer ongoing learning opportunities, Welcome suggestions, Keep engaged in activities, learning sessions, rewards and recognitions.
