When working remotely getting to know the team and forming bonds is a challenge in some ways. Use interesting ways to get to know everyone. Giving your life (book) an interesting name and creating a booklet with some highlights of your interests, achievements etc and sharing it with group I have found to be very helpful. It breaks the ice and gives everyone a chance to know each other better and creates a bond.
