Three areas where automation is "just a waste": 1. If the test cases are few and varies, for instance - for a feature, you have only 5 test cases. Just test it manually instead of wasting time and energy on testing frameworks 2. UI check - If there is any need to check the UI and UX of an application, we need a human intervention. No AI, tool is ever going to help with that. What is desired and looks better always needs a human touch. 3. Rapidly Changing Applications - If your application is evolving or is on an early stage of development, there's no need to build an automation script to test the outputs, since you never know what your application will look like when you do a final release.

I choose Automated Testing. Automated testing ensures that the software functions as expected, catches bugs and errors early on, and reduces the chances of manual testing mistakes. Will you ever buy a car, if it's not been reviewed or tested? Same is with the applications: 1. It helps to maintain the coding standards (like reusing same function and refactoring the code) 2. It helps to achieve low downtimes of the applications. Additionally, don't forget about automated tools (which may vary depending on the language) to check the code through internal pipelines in VCS, such as format checks (by Prettier), linting, type checks (by TypeScript config), SonarQube, etc

IMPORTANT! Follow 20-20-20 rule - Every 20 minutes of screen time, you should look away at something at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This is good for your eyes and health. - Got stuck somewhere? It's getting annoying? Take a break. Trust me, it really helps and I've been doing this for years. Just get up and go for a walk for 5-10 mins and then when you come back you'll think from a new perspective.
