In system management, failure mostly leads to discovery of new tactic, strategy or methodology to resolves issue. When a system or network fails, it presents an opportunity to analyze and understand the cause of the failure. The cause might be a known error or an unknown problem. A known error can often be resolved using existing documentation, while an unknown problem requires innovative solutions. This situation offers a chance for growth, as it broadens the technical team's expertise.

No pudiendo conocerlo todo, es muy probable que tengamos una falla o no podamos resolver algo. Failure itself is an intricate part of success. The accumulation of failures are founding blocks for success. I also believe in the documentation of “failures”. They are key ingredients to the manifestation of success.

One lesson I have learned over my career is that the very first step to follow whenever there is a system failure is to find the root cause instead of who to blame. 1- Identify the Exact Time of the Crash: Determine the precise moment when the system failure occurred. Analyze: Gather and review all relevant data within the specific time frame of the failure. This includes system logs, error and messages. Examine Logs: Application logs are often the most insightful resource for troubleshooting. They provide detailed information. Understand The Topology: Having a thorough understanding of your system's topology is critical. Know how which servers communicate with each other, and the specific ports involved.

Realizar análisis crítico de un escenario es una habilidad que se aprende en el tiempo. Es importante ir mejorando, aprendiendo del equipo de apoyo. Si el problema se presenta en forma repetitiva, encontrar los patrones, encontrar las señales (las cuales al principio pudieran parecer no relacionadas). Una mezcla de paciencia y agilidad a la vez.

Es el punto más importante. Compartir el aprendizaje con el equipo, encontrar los puntos de mejora en el proceso de evaluación del incidente. Determinar si se debe cambiar el proceso, si se deben buscar opciones de apoyo, negociar mejores condiciones de soporte externo, etc.

Backing up data and systems regularly to secure offsite locations. This will help minimize data loss in case of system failures or security breaches 4. Documenting best practices, security protocols, and emergency procedures with regular updates and trainings for all team members
