So I set a Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG). That is my Big BOLD Vision. Something that scares the heck out of me. I set to achieve that vision within 3 - 5 years. A great way to train your team is to inspect what you expect. They trains your team leader to do the same. And never ever ever ever accept excuses. Results is the name of the game. You can be hard but also show you really care.

When someone gives you feedback that relates specifically to a goal you've been working on, let them know that they hit the nail on the head! It will encourage them to give more specific feedback to others in the future, and to think about their own goals in terms of what feedback they might get in return.
