You can easily imagine cases where the back end api contract has to be updated. The best solution in these cases would be to make the requirements more flexible (if possible) (updating the contract with optional fields to avoid breaking the frontend) and only in a second moment re-restrict them when the front end is ready. If the front end won't be ready in time, front end wont break.
