The feedback the beta testers will give is from real world scenarios and therefore extremely useful. Once this group approves and their feedback is incorporated your change is bound to be successful and much less likely to run into issues.

A very important note to add. The initial phase of operating the automation system should consist of collaboration between the system implementation team and the operators to make sure that the operators are adapting the automated system and doesn't take ease of doing what they used to do before.

I suggest two changes 1. Before choosing tools, we should talk to our team and design an automation solution. 2. Talk to multiple teams within the organisation and identify similar tasks your team can automate. You could collaborate with the teams on designing and implementing the automation solution. Always think and work on a solution to scale. You can address issues of a few select teams, and implement and collect feedback. Incorporate feedback and improve the solution and this is going to be a continuous process that you can implement across teams in the organisation.
