Here's how you can optimize your executive training program for maximum success.

One of the things I have found in export business is identification of a problem. Just as in every economic system where the first question is what to produce,one need to identify a content is this regards. What is the challenges faced by the executive. Human beings are not robots,so it may be difficult to explicit real and concrete informations from them.. However,through survey, questionnaire,you could get from them the challenged they face. It is from problem identifications that the challenges could be tackled headlong.

Investigating specific needs is important, this means talking with leaders, direct reports, and the people who will participate. To ensure buy-in and maximum engagement prioritize the desired development areas of participants as much as the areas identified by top leaders.

Expert facilitator: I could remember in November,2021 when we went to portHarcourt,Rivers state-Nigeria for a three day training/workshop organized by TARIHAAM,NIGERIA EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL IN CONJUNCTION with portHarcourt chambers of commerce,we met some facilitators of which their excellent instructions really help me in my daily export activities. Some of the things I learnt from them which still help me till today are sincerity,punctuality,and reliability. If those instructors were to be round pegs in a square hole,it would have marred my aim and objectives. So,in considering facilitators,extreme care must be taken to ensure the executive sims and objectives are achieved.

Choose facilitators based on who your audience will find credible, not who you think is the most persuasive. The session will not be effective if the learners see some characteristic of the SME as a hinderance.

Adults learn best when they can hear it, do it, and then teach it. Effective programs provide material that is radically relevant, allow participants to practice it, and then talk about it to one another. They should leave empowered to share the new skill with their team along with why it is important.

Integrate hands-on activities such as simulations, case studies, and role-playing exercises into the training. Encourage executives to apply new skills to current projects and provide opportunities for them to reflect on and discuss their experiences. This approach reinforces learning, enhances engagement, and ensures that the training has a direct impact on their day-to-day responsibilities.

The most important starting point is a Needs Analysis: Identify specific skills and knowledge gaps. What is the goal vs current skills? Customize modules to address real-world challenges. Use interactive methods, like case studies and simulations. Encourage peer interactions and mentorship. Offer flexible learning options, like in-person and digital options. Research assignments encourages active participation in own time, and learning in the process. Include real-life projects or business challenges that participants can work on, applying their learning directly to issues faced by their organization. Have measurable outcomes to establish quality of learning and participant involvement and knowledge retention.
