This article is too generic... no information here is really helping the topic of decision making database. What is important in a database which will help in decision making is more its simplicity of access for decision makers. The content is more important than the tool itself. Decision makers need long and short term trends. Data aggregation is key here to understand business evolution, this has impacts on the way the database can retrieve large amount of information from the distant past. Decison makers need to be able to view data in different forms and different angles than the regular data users, the data is generally wider, at the corporate level rather than at a local level, often integrating various data sources.
