One thing i've found very helpful is the awarding system, for example we have the "SOCs of the month", all the safety observation cards are evaluated monthly and the workers who wrote the best 3 SOCs are awarded with a bonus, and their names with their pictures are shared among the company internal network emails a recognition for their efforts, this initiative was very successful and had a very strong motivational effect on the workers and increased the number of monthly safety observation cards as well as the quality of the observations which resulted in more engagement from all the workers and healthier safety culture.
