It is one of the ways humans learn new ideas, expand their creativity, and test the concepts (or proof of concept). For example, when discussing teamwork and its members' roles, we compare the idea of one football team with one corporate organization. There is a captain of the team (the CEO of an organization), an offensive player (Salesman), and a defensive player (Operator). To analogize the CEO's role in the organization, we infer it to be a football team captain. The CEO gives direction and motivates his team like the captain does to his team.
